FDL Tray Freeze Dryer Shelves Arrangement

Designing Applications

FDL tray lyophilizers are economical equipment for bulk materials dehydration. Raw products are placed on trays in drying chamber, in place freezing and later drying under vacuum environment. During the drying process, raw products always keep in minus temperature, no ruin their biological activities and other chemical properties.

These drying machines are designed after careful consideration of all the factors necessary for a successful lyophilization result. Entirely stainless steel made with outstanding system performance, advanced features, cheap price for sale and fit commercial heavy production.

Machinery Structure

All-include Design

All the machinery that involved with the operation of FDL lyophilizer is mounted in a steel frame. Plug and play deliver.

Double Chamber System

Drying chamber and Condenser are 2 parts. During freeze drying, low temp. condenser no influence the heat-plates temp. uniformity.

Highest Quality Shelves

Sandwich type heat-plates are S/S made, both surfaces are mirror polished, surface roughness better than 0.6um.

System Specifications

Vacuum System

2-stage oil sealed vacuum pumps and roots pump combination are installed in FDL system. Isolation of the pumps are pneumatically operated butterfly valves.

Refrigeration System

Water cooled, Bitzer 2-stage compressor system. Optimal system, stably deliver cooling energy to shelves during pre-freezing stage and to condenser during drying stage.

Heating System

The shelves cooling and heating is through fluid circulates. The fluid is chilled through an intermediate plate heat exchanger, and is heated by electric rods.

High Energy Efficient

Drying chamber and condenser insulation layer thickness up to 100mm, all energy use for sublimation, no waste. All sub-systems are optimized for best matching.

Precise Temperature Control

Shelves heating use PID technology, plates temperature auto balance system ensure variance <+/-1C. High freeze dried product quality between trays and between batches.

Powerful Control System

Based on PLC and user friendly HMI. Graphic display system working status; Manage freeze drying recipes; Real-time display freeze drying curve; Freeze drying data & curve review, print and download; Automatic freeze drying; Users and authorization management; and more functions that meets commercial production needs.


All valves that use to isolate air and water are pneumatically operated, open or close through the touch screen. Operation of the freeze dryer machine no need goes to machinery room, only maintain works need go to machinery room.
